Sam Marsden began her journey at The Margaret Wilcox School of Speech and Drama at an early age with weekly classes at Margaret Wilcox’s home, progressing to two classes a week - half of these taking place at the Knutsford Little Theatre, and then the school moved to Knutsford Civic Centre before moving to its current home at Plumley Village Hall. By age 12 Sam was helping Margaret with younger classes and enjoyed attending senior classes. She continued her work for Margaret whilst gaining qualifications in Speech and Drama at the London College of Music - Poetry, Prose and Acting exams gaining her an ALCM Diploma.
Sam studied Drama and English Literature at the University of Chester graduating with a BA (Hons) before returning to work alongside Margaret. Expanding her repertoire, Sam engaged in writing plays, voice over work, working for Creative Partnerships in schools and running the popular Make Believe multimedia workshops. Sam took over the school when Margaret retired 6 years ago.
